In the above video, Jess Jonassen goes on to bowl against South Africa’s Mignon du Preez. The South African international lofts the ball towards the higher end of the boundary.
But she doesn’t time it well enough to put the ball through the boundary line. Australian international Ashleigh Gardner guards the boundary line at that very side.
However, she stands a bit away from the boundary before the bowl is bowled. But when the ball does arrive towards Ashleigh Gardner she stretches her limit and tries to pluck the fastly moving ball.
Ashleigh Gardner’s full stretch jump helps her catch hold of the ball but the ball gets stuck only on the first two fingers of her hand. Nevertheless, she stung on the ball till the end with two fingers to complete a breathtaking catch.
The Australian women player could not believe herself over that catch. Hence, she looks surprised as soon as she completes the catch. Even the commentators were excited after Ashleigh Gardner went on to pluck the ball.
